Amy and Kevin had a lovely Lovett Hall wedding! As a photography company, we love working in a dynamic venue like the Henry Ford Museum, but we loved spending the day with the couple even more!

Amy and Kevin rented out a horse-drawn carriage to take the bridal party around Greenfield Village. No one had to be walking in the vast village under the scorching sun! And, most importantly, the bridal party was enjoying the moment with champagne and lively conversations.

During the reception, we thought it was so sweet that the newlyweds made sure that they greeted all of their family and friends present at the celebration before the festivities began. When you’ve got speeches, cake cutting, and first dances, it’s easy to get swept away, especially once the dance floor opens. Amy and Kevin talked to each person early in the night, so that there wouldn’t be a  guest leaving that they hadn’t thanked and hugged.

There are many things we are going to remember from the day, like how the groomsmen always wanted to have their sunglasses on, how beautiful Amy looked, and the table names inspired by classic cars. But most of all, we are going to remember how kind and considerate the couple were.

Congratulations, Amy & Kevin! Here is to a marriage as joyful as your wedding! These are just a few of our favorite moments of the day.

There are many perks to living on the border with another country. For example, you can sound impressive when you say that you’ve travelled internationally over the weekend, when really you just drove for an hour to cross the Ambassador Bridge. And, you are only a few miles/kilometers away from foreign delicacies such as poutine or cider mill donuts (such delicacies). Katie and Chris, a couple living in Ontario, took advantage of this fact and got married in a whole different country! We are so happy this lovely couple decided to tie the knot in Michigan!

Katie and Chris chose Lovett Hall in Dearborn as their wedding venue. “We picked this venue because we fell in love from the moment we stepped into Lovett Hall,” Katie said. “Its old world charm and classic elegance stood out from any type of wedding venue we have in Windsor […] It feels so ‘us’ and the grounds are absolutely stunning. It has a very classic and romantic feel to it.” The venue truly was representative of the couple because we can’t think of better words than “old world charm and classic elegance” and “absolutely stunning” to describe them!

We had so much fun taking photos of Katie and Chris around the Henry Ford Museum. We especially loved the First Look at the staircase with the baby blue walls. The moment when Chris first saw how beautiful Katie looked in her wedding gown was such a romantic, intimate moment, and we could tell just how much the couple loved each other. We only hope that we were able to capture the moment in the photos!

Congratulations, Katie & Chris! You are both such wonderful people, and it was a joy to be a part of your special day. Here are some of our favorite moments.

DIA wedding for Michigan couple

Beatrice and Eli’s DIA wedding was a true representation of the couple’s style―that is to say, it was sophisticated and undeniably beautiful! The ceremony took place at the colorful Rivera Court, where the workers of the Detroit Industry Murals surrounded the guests. “The Detroit Institute of Arts has always been one of my favorite places to visit with my mother,” Beatrice said about the elegant venue, “I couldn’t imagine a more perfect, timeless place to get married. It checked all of our boxes and was the perfect fit for us. How many people can brag that they got married literally feet away from a Van Gogh!”

The couple decided to not have a bridal party. With such a big, vibrant, and lively wedding, having a time just between them instead of with a whole bridal party meant that they could take the time to savor each special moment together. However, that did not mean that they weren’t surrounded by friends and family throughout the day. When we arrived for the “getting ready” photos, Eli was hanging out with his friends. Beatrice was at her mother’s house, and the whole house was filled with chatter and laughter from aunts and girlfriends.

We had a lot of fun going to different locations around Detroit. We lucked out at the Zlot with the roof being empty! Beatrice and Eli shared their “first dance” on the rooftop lot, surrounded by the open Detroit skyline. But of course, nothing beat taking photos in the iconic museum!

Beatrice and Eli will be heading to Italy and France for their honeymoon! Having just returned from Paris and having spent two months in Europe last year, we are very excited for the couple to see the beautiful sights of the city of love. After the trip, their next adventure will be starting a premium gift box company called Open Me When. We already know it’s going to be a huge hit!

Vendors Ines & Marie, Passion Flower- Susan Mcleary, Sweet Heather Anne and Paper and Honey really out did themselves will all of the gorgeous details!

Congratulations on your wedding, Beatrice and Eli! Thank you for letting us be a part of such a special day. Here are some of our favorite moments.
