Amanda & Scott | Downtown Ann Arbor Wedding | Amanda Dumouchelle Photography
Amanda and Scott had a beautiful wedding in downtown Ann Arbor in a sunny day in April, the same city in which they had their first date. The ceremony and reception took place at the University of Michigan Union, and the picturesque location was the perfect backdrop for this do-it-yourself wedding. Amanda DIY’ed everything from the floral arrangements to the party favors, from the invitations to her gorgeous silk wedding dress. One of the sweetest things about the décor of this wedding was that the place cards had the name of a city in which Amanda or Scott had lived in, and at the back Scott wrote a few sentences of what that city meant to them. The personal touch in everything is what made this wedding so memorable!
Amanda looked stunning in her strapless sweetheart dress (it had pockets!), and Scott looked nothing short of charming in his blue suit. Their modern yet timeless look fit perfectly with the vibe of downtown Ann Arbor. The creative photos took place at landmarks such as the Michigan Theater, State Theater, and the various murals scattered throughout the city!
From the bride: “I really wanted to keep things simple. I knew after the wedding I wasn’t going to care what kind of chairs were there, but rather that people had a good time.” And a good time they had, indeed!
Congratulations, Amanda and Scott! Best wishes on a beautiful marriage.
